It was a normal grassland with a slight breeze where Ragnos entered. He was here to kick some ass and take some... notes. He wasn't the fastest thing alive but he could take a punch or two. He slowly anylized the area and noticed the terrain would give him no advantage, or disadvantage. Hopefully it will do the same for his opponent.

Ragnos' only reasonf or showing here to this place of battle was to examine how the Pokémon on this island of Althea fight. Only to take mental notes on them and then to later inform them to his King. And if he happened to learn somthign new or get a little stronger from this battle he wouldn't be disappointed. It would be even better to get the chance to see how their trainers work with them. This would be the perfect chance to expose ther weaknesses.

Ragnos went into a defensive position as he also took the proper preperations for a good strong take down that would make most cry. He again scanned the area to see if an opponent had taken to the field, but he was still alone. Hopefully this battle will end victory for Ragnos and the Beldum!

"Now where are you my friendly rival. Show yourself so this battle my begin and I can show you the honor of the MetaCadum. I am giving you 5....4....3..." Ragnos said and then continued the count.

[[OOC: Yo. This be Piffy.]]

Okay, so there I was, eating the yummy Pecha pie that the Boss had decided to share with me, and it was really tasty, and I ended up with some of the filling stuck in my nose because I was eating too fast, and...

Well, and now I'm here. Not sure why. Maybe the Pecha Berry pie filling was magical. It's not in my nose anymore, for sure. When I get back, I'm gonna have to test this theory by shoving some of the pie up Zen's nose. Alice will probably help me with that... or she'll be all like "Yer a right loon, ya know that?" and then help me, but...

Ooooh! What's that? It's bluuuue... How girly. Oh! And it floats! Cool! Hmm... maybe it can tell me what's going on.

ZOOOOOOOOOM!

And so, our young hero did launch himself into the air and flew at the Beldum DYNAMIC ENTRY-style, with the intent to pounce on it and start running at the mouth.

{RPing as Pokémanz. And first-person for the first time evar. And finally, Fred [teh wooper olol] sees James more as a father figure than a friend, to explain the 'dad' shit}

I guess the best way to describe what I was doing would be with the word 'frolic'. I mean, it was beautiful today! Normally, I can't stand the sun when it just hangs around and beats down on me, but the breeze kept it all good. Dad told me it was bad for me to get too dry, but I'll be alright.

The woods around a field I'd just happened upon were cool and pretty big, and I could watch the grass flow with the breeze. It was a lot prettier than the stuff back in Hone. Or... Hoin. What was it called? Well, wherever dad caught me. Too long ago to remember. So instead of worrying about that silly stuff, I just stepped into the field. But something weird happened as I did; my head was filled with a scary feeling.

I could tell pretty quick that I wasn't the only Pokémon here, and something about the smells around here told me humans weren't something to worry about. Still, I felt creeped out. I thought I heard some words, but nobody was there to say them. At least, nobody I could see. Though those Psychic guys could pull some mean tricks...

I continued on over a small hill I couldn't see over, and then saw a little pink fellow, and in the distance, a floating blue-ish guy. The pink one looked like he wanted to play, but the other one wasn't too move...ful. I took a few steps closer, ready to ask for some names, when suddenly the pink dude flew off!

He looked ready to hit the blue guy, which meant there was about to be a battle, I think. I'd been in a few of these before, but felt a little scared; Dad wasn't with me this time. If I had to fight, I had to fight alone. But then I remembered how proud he would be. I could go back and be even stronger so that dad and I win even more!

So I just stood there and started charging my Mud Shot, just waiting for one of 'em to make the wrong move.

Ragnos heard the pink think with ADHD zoom through air straight for him. This Pokémon must have been in the intellegent area for it knew a sneak attack would be its best bet against a Beldum. "A sneak attack!? You son of a gun!" Ragnos shouted toward the pink poekmon as he turned around and noticed the Pokémon. Luckily for Ragnos, he had a trick up his sleve.

Ragnos had been preparing a Take Down before this beast attacked him. Sadly for the pink one, his current position made him the perfect target for his attack. A moment beofre he launched his attack he also took notice of a Whooper in the distance spying on his battle. "You brought friends I guess." Ragnos said speaking to the pink one reffering to the Whooper. Ragnos, now switching to an offensive stance, then launched his Take Down attack striaght for the currently mid-air Pete who was jumping straight forward into the atttack.

"Now lets see how this Pokémon reacts to this attack. This is an almost perfect situation for my notes. Now only if one of those Pokémon were owned a by a trainer. If that were the truth, my research would be going by quicker than I calculated." Ragnos thought to himself mid-attack. After the attack would complete he would quickly a triangle between himself and the other to Pokémon. He would be interested in how the Whooper would react to hiscomrade being attacked.

Wait, what's it--

Oh god--!

There wasn't time to dodge; most certainly not. However, let it never be said that Pete's got bad reflexes. As soon as Ragnos took an Offensive Stance, Pete tucked his head down and tensed his muscles in a Defensive Stance, so the resulting attack would cause the Beldum to first collide with his horn and the spiky front edges of his ears, and he tucked his legs in with his feet oriented a little forward. His plan was to, at the moment of impact, jerk his head upwards in what probably counted as a Peck attack (hopefully hitting the Beldum somewhere close to the red part that looked like its eye, both to cause damage and, he was hoping, to make it reflexively pull back a little, and thus reduce the damage he himself took), then, he planned to, effectively, do a backspring off of the thing by pushing off and up with his front legs right after his horn collided with it, then flipping around and kicking it as hard as he could with his hind feet, using the momentum to send himself a fair distance away from his opponent.

Of course, either way, this was going to hurt pretty bad.

If it's a fight the wants, then, by WhicheverformofdeityitisthatIrevere, I'll give him one!

It seemed kinda like the blue guy knew exactly what was gonna happen. Maybe he was a Psychic-type; I heard they can see things before a lot of the other Pokémon could. Dang, what I wouldn't give to be able to do that! Imagine; in the middle of battle, I could tell what move the other guy was gonna do before he did it! That'd be something else. Then, Dad and I would never lose. I could nail their weak point for massive damage before they could think about covering it up, and then I'd win a million trophies and chocolates. Oh, man, I love chocolates.

I could see the sun reflect off of the Beldum a little bit. It kinda hurt my eye. But only a little. I mean, I got a pretty small eye. Lotsa light doesn't get in there. That's what's great about being a Wooper. I also like my own ears a little. But I wish I had arms.

I hadn't noticed it before, but that Nidoran looked pretty tough. This wasn't gonna be an easy fight, that's for sure. Wait, when did I learn these Pokémon's names? Oh, well. PvP only needs to be logical in the actual battle, I reckon. Just like back in the Hoenn days with Dad. We sure were logical. I remember those days. I love chocolates.

He kinda curled up a bit, which gave me a good angle on 'im. My Mud Shot was still charging, which was cool and all, but what if I missed? No. I wouldn't. I'd be all like Master Chief, whoever the crap that is. I wouldn't miss. Nope.

But you know what this problem is? I'll tell you what it is. I'm embellishing upon absolutely nothing for the sake of length, since anything I could've commented on was likely to give me a two-sentence post. Christ, the window of time between Piggy's and my post can't be more than half a second. Realistically, how much thought - especially for a genius Pokémon such as a wooper myself - could one pack in when given but a fraction of a second?

I came to realize my folly. I had gotten lost in my own thoughts; a mistake I was quick to correct. My vocabulary also just deepened for no explicable reason. Lemme fix that.

So I just kept on watching; waiting for one of them to get to close before blasting them with one of my strongest attacks.

Ragnos, being trained for almost all situations in battle, saw the pink one change stances, mid-air, and try to jab his horn into his eye. Ragnos would have done the same thing in the pink one's situation. It was a good thing Ragnos knew this and curved his attack under the pink one's horn. As he did this the peck attack did hit him, but at the top most part of his head and not his eye. He took some damage from this attack, but not a lot. Besides the curving of his attack affecting were the pink one's peck attack hitting him, it now made his Take Down attack aim toward the pink one's nose area. As an added bonus he was probably only a hron length's away or even closer.

After his attack Ragnos he decided he would retreat back several feet from the pink one. He also still kept watch of the Whooper to his left. He realized the Whooper had just been sitting their doing nothing. It could be watching but it kept curlinas if to block the sun. Somthing was up with that guy. Ragnos would have to be worry of that Whooper once he landed.

Ragnos, as he was about to hit the Pink one, already began to plot his next moves.

(OOC: I'll have the Take Down hit me in the nose, which'll send me off-balance and tumbling over the top of ya, k? You're lucky you're a Steel Type and immune to stuff like Poison Point. You've prolly got enough momentum that you're going to keep on going for a ways, though. XD)

Oh god here it comes --!

THUNK

Owie...

And so our brave hero did verily get smacked in the nose by Ragnos's Take Down. Now, if you have any degree of experience with first class levers, you'll know that when one end goes down, the other end goes up. Being in mid-air and of relatively even weight distribution, Pete was in a perfect position to demonstrate this personally.
You spin me right round baby
Right round
Like a record, baby
Right round round round...

Before he knew it, Pete had tumbled right over Ragnos's back and onto the grass below, where he rolled a few times until his horn sank into a patch of soft earth and got stuck, jerking him to an abrupt halt.

Today... is not my day.

((Already accounted for damage/energy drain last post, but here it is again, text updated for context))
Please attack the Wooper next.... @_@

There wasn't a moment to spare, now. I could feel my head swelling with dirt and water, and I couldn't hold the blast much longer. Still keeping my (small) eyes on 'em, though, I saw the pink man get trounced and sent backward. That shit was pretty funny.

Now I was starting to worry, though. The time window, again, was shit, but I had to decide; hit a small creature while he's down and RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, or risk completely missing the floating dude because of the angle.

The former was probably the best option. I mean, they're both gonna wind up opponents, right?

So I decided to aim for the smaller one who'd just smacked the ground, praying he'd not a chance to recover in time. I felt my the pressure instantly release as a stream of mud was sent his way.

As Ragnos and the pink one colided the pink one spun over Ragnos and began to roll. Ragnos continued to fly forward with the agility from his attack. He had to lower his levitation and jam the claws at the end of him into the ground to stop him from heading forward. This only worked for so long until he flew off into the air from the intertia. This caused him to roll out bouncing off the ground a couple of times until loosing all of his intertia. "That was a bumpy ride." Ragnos said as he shook dirt off himself.

Ragnos then turned toward the pink one to see how he took the hit. The pink didn't seem like he took any major damage or injuries. He probably took a big hit tactically and morally. Ragnos knew at least he would if he were stuck upside down itno the ground. Even with the sympathy he had toward the pink one at this moment he still couldn't help to chuckle a little at how pathetic he looked. Ragnos would help the pink one out, but he did start the battle with a suprize attack.

He then turned quickly turned to the Whooper almot completely forgetting it was there. As he turned he starred straight at the Whooper. It's mouth looked as if it was about to burst open with water/mud. "How could I be so stupid to forget about the other enemey. I am lucky the enemy didn't notice, but if he were strong in stragedy I would already ahve been hit by his attack .How could I be so careless?!" Ragnos thought to himself as he switched into a defensive stance. He then noticed the Whooper launch his attack at the Pink one. "Well they obviously aren't friends. I guess I should help out the pink one. Pink one in the ground! Bend to your left! The Whooper has launched an attack at you. Avoid the main force of the blow!" Ragnos said out sympathy.

PLAYER 2 DEFEATED!

Meanwhile, elsewhere....

"Toots? Hey toots! You in there?"

Pete suddenly gave a small jump, eyes wide as saucers. "Huh?"

Alice fixed him with one of her "Dammit, Pete!" looks. "Youa gon finish that pie? You've been staring at it blankly for 547 seconds and counting."

Pete looked around and realized that, yes, he was still sitting in front of his plate, and still had half a slice of pie left. "Uh... yeah. 'Course I'm gonna."

Just more slowly this time around...

{Sorry 'bout completely forgetting there ._. }

I did it! The pink guy's done playing!

Alright, now that blue thing was annoying me. Look at it. Floating up there all high and mighty like it's some kinda Still Type, like those guys Dad keeps talking about. Even if he was a Still Type, Dad tells me my Shot is good against 'em. So you know what I did?

I Shot.

I started swishing some mud and water through my head again, feeling the same pressure as before. Time seemed to stand still as I used larger words and maybe a bolder type face to increase the length of my post, happily shattering the sacred 4th wall.

The Beldum hadn't moved much, fortunately, so it couldn't be too hard to hit him. Heck, he didn't seem all that agile anyway, so what did I have to lose? Not much, that's what I had to lose. This shit isn't even canon. Within a matter of milliseconds, I was sending another jet of mud out, this time aimed for that little blue punk.

PLAYER 1 RESIGNS!

Ragnos saw the attack heading toward him and quickly moved to his left to dodge it.

"I am sorry sir or madam but I don't intend on beginning a second fight after my first. Even though it may be little, I did retain some damage from my last encounter. I don't really want to give you anadvantage for you seem like a worthy opponent. Maybe soon we will encounter eachother in again, both in full health, and ready for a fight. Besides that, I bid you avoir!" Ragnos said.

Ragnos then disapeared in a cloud of steel smoke back to the point where he was before.

Interesting...alright, let me grade this nao.

Sephiroth: It was frustrating reading your posts - there were several spelling mistakes, coupled with more grammatical errors. I can easily shrug off two or three, but when it gets to the point that I have to put up with a shit load of misspelled words and inconsistent mechanics, it forces me to think about the word that I'm reading. Believe me, I don't like thinking. It doesn't take much to proofread, and the only reason why I'm being so adamant about these mistakes is because of the simple fact that they're avoidable. Any simple spell/grammar check could have eliminated about 90% of your problems.

As for the battle itself, don't be afraid to lose. You allowed yourself to be hit, true, but I could sense that you were doing everything in your power to bend the rules in your direction. When you were in the process of your Take Down, and both you and Pete were mid-air, the two of you were plotting like you had an entire turn to do so. In any other situation, it would have been fine, but with the momentum of your Pokemon and the fact that you were mid-air, in pursuit of each other, kind of dispels the possibility of being able to create/break chain combos. Just keep that in mind.

Your posts weren't too great, your logistics were alright and the way you carried yourself in battle was also...just average. Overall grade, for you: You can do better. Honestly, I know you can. Next time, try pushing yourself for better results - if you need any help, just remember you're in Althea and that you have some pretty good RP'ers you can ask around for.

1.5 XP

Piggy: You did pretty good, for what you wrote, that is. There were some areas in which I felt you could have expanded upon and written more in depth about, and being the RP'er that you are, I kind of expected you to take charge and set the tone for the thread. I was a bit disappointed, but it is an OOC thread, and I can't really expect you to go all out - after all, it's not canon. However, either way, try and beef up your posts and become a bit more consistent - at time your a beautiful RP'er who understands what and what not to do, and at other times your just a tad bit about average. I want you to stay that beautiful RP'er who understands what and what not to do...at all times, mk? Other than that, pretty good job...again, if it were a longer thread, you could have gotten more rewards.

2 XP
0.5 CP

S3rpent: First time writing in first person? Well, good job on that - your writing style in this thread was a bit more lively and I kind of enjoyed reading it, though it gave me a 'childish' mood (which you could have been aiming for anyways). Battle part was just ok, you didn't do much other than blasting a couple of Mud Shots, cleaning up after Seph by taking out Pete, and uh...that's about it, right? A couple of your posts were irrelevant, and there was one that I just felt really didn't need to be there...so your role in this thread wasn't as big or important as the others. So, your rewards will reflect on that fact.
