Don't waste my time.
Though briefly described in the overall overview of the Colosseum, Cage Matches deserve an extra explanation. Unlike Arena Matches, they are open at any time; there are more than enough rooms to satisfy the average trainer load. The entering trainer is free to pick any event he wants from the list below, but the mutators put into effect with each match are assigned at the mod's whim. Possible mutators include mundane events such as double experience or money for the match, but include less beneficial events such as the area being pumped full of poison gas and jets of flame. Needless to say. learning to adjust to these mutators is an excellent idea!

Starting a cage match is simple. Simply post a new topic saying which sort of match you'd like to participate in, and a staff member will declare the mods, opponent Pokemon, prize money, and any other especially pertinent information. From there, it's up to you to do the match; if you're in the cage with another trainer, you'll both have to agree on the effects of moves, who wins, etc. Set up epic matches or fight about who wins, I don't care - just don't expect too much prize money if you don't sync well! Staff members will grade your topic after the conclusion and award money, items, and exp as earned - they can and will minimize rewards if you did especially poorly or cheated. Also, quick note: unless the match specifies certain Pokemon, you use your own Pokemon for battling and the opposing Pokemon are chosen by a staff member.

  • Available Matches:
  • Royal Rumble (4-way FFA)
  • Mirror Match (One Pokemon of mod's choice versus an identical copy)
  • Snack Attack (1 Snorlax vs several weaker Pokemon)
  • Cyberspace (Porygon v. Porygon in a constantly changing VR environment)
  • Wrestlemania (Machamp Vs. Machamp)
  • 1v1
  • 2v2
