As soon as I am able, I intend to set up a Mission, which hopefully will take place after everything else (i.e. allowing everyone who's in a currently stalled mission to join in), and a Bio-War squad. Therefore I am hereby taking suggestions under consideration of what our mission should be. We have taken a base, and attacked a daycare and a hospital for Pokémon and supplies. We cannot directly assault the Lethos Laboratory Complex. However, I am sure that they have an auxilliary lab, or a warehouse full of supplies which we could steal. Therefore, that is my suggestion. However, I wish to hear and see yours. |

Lethos is the organization about the closest to being deus ex machina on the site, and attacking them would open up a whole slew of unnecessary trouble for TR - Lethos is, essentially, powerful and influential enough to make overt offensive moves more trouble than they're worth. And they're not exactly a slouch on the whole actual defenses thing, too. Lot better than a couple of poorly outfitted Arachnos trainers straight from a crushing defeat at the hands of BR. The're also mostly self-contained, up to the on-site barracks, so it's not quite as simple as 'kill the two sleepy guards in the back of a pickup truck.' Lethos won't be allies or enemies per se, but they will figure into the plot in a more or less neutral - but influenceable - manner. Anyways, initial concept denial aside, what sort of theme would you like to go for with your mission? Hitting a bigger target, basic supplies replenishment, like breaking into a store or something, robing trainers, pulling off a crime dressed as BR, what? Could also go for sabotage of some sort, or breaking into a radio station for [insert reason here], whatever. |

I'd hit up a library. Check the Exire archives. The settlements haven't been around that long, so the records in Exire, at least, should be current and mostly up-to-date with names, professions, and registered pokemon. Find out who is on record that could help us (willingly or not), and who we ought to keep an eye on. IC, it's a low-risk diplomacy mission to get the librarian to let you see the stuff, OOC, we have the Pokemon census and the trainer directory to look at. ~EDIT~ And yes, if you want, you can totally notice and investigate the large number of Ghost-types Acerbus's family has registered, if you want. The boy could use some drama/plot coming his way. ;P Edited by Pig_catapult, Sep 18 2009, 10:08:47 PM.

Piggy, that would be a viable suggestion, but I just don't see it being a mission for more than one or two people. Munch, what I'm looking for is twofold. First, something that would be in-character for Xavier. Second, something that will get attention and activity. Like you saw, I was thinking initially, "get us a new laboratory facility." That still feels like it would be his goal. Now, if the Overseer orders him directly to take a wander over to the library, there's a lot of information there. Registered Pokémon, city tax records, and records regarding condemned and abandoned buildings of all varieties. It might not, perhaps, be the "coolest" mission, but as a rainy day's entertainment, research is a necessity. |

Yeah, I can't see a Library mission being very big, or even very long, but it'd be something. We could insert an extra player to control the librarian NPC, to make it more interesting. |

Good. Shorter missions means more total activity. Now, that research mission will lead into a few more things, like perhaps stealing scientific equipment and squatting in an abandoned building. However. We must crawl before we can attempt interstellar flight. |
