Alex Vs Tyler; Odin Vs Kaito

Alex stood in his corner of the vacant street. The darkness of night had all but set in, and the street was only lit up by the street lights all around them. This gave the relatively normal street an arena lit feel to it. Like the street lamps where there for them to fight. Even though it was a normal place, everything about the situation made it seem more epic then it could have ever just been normally.

Fenrir floated around Alex, who was wearing a a jacket over his dress shirt. His left hand was placed inside his coats pocket, but his right was holding a billiard cue. Other then this, Alex looked pretty much as he always did. The air around him cold, as it always was, from the heat absorbing Pokémon that floated around him constantly. His body heat slowly being drained to make him feel chilly almost all the time. The price to pay for his protection by Fenrir.

He awaited Tyler, calm and cool for someone who was going up against a Pokémon who had many moves that were the weakness of his own Pokémon's. Alex didn't fear what was looking to be an inevitable loss however. Rather he seemed to be embracing this idea, of challenge rather nicely.

"Come now Tyler, Don't keep me and Fenrir waiting for you."

Really, now?
"Chilly..." Tyler Richardson watched his breath form a thin fog before his face and he breathed out, and he was suddenly glad for the windbreaker he was wearing. The wind was almost nonexistent, and it was a dry December anyways, but for some reason, the absence of snow or wind made the cold slightly more biting. He was definitely going to appreciate getting the blood moving once the fight began. "Cold, Kaito?"

"I'm a penguin..." Kaito responded, the Piplup taking the moment to size up their competition. The remark, however, was lost in translation between the two, something that, except sporadically, had been fortunately uncommon recently. Instead, Tyler answered with another inquiry.

"You're okay with this?" Tyler asked, cracking his knuckles as he leaned against the wall. He had agreed to spar with Alex a bit too quick, and just realized he hadn't actually conferred with his teammate. Taking a bat to the other man's head was all fine and dandy, but he'd be fucked up the rectum without Kaito to play the major fight.

"Yeah, let's do this!"

The penguin's proud nodding brought a smile to Tyler's face. Last time Kaito had been in a proper match up was a while ago, in the arena against Ancelin and his Gyarados. Fun times, scary... but fun.

"We're ready, Alex, whenever you are."

Alex moved his hand to grasp firmly the pokeball containing Odin. Odin was his fighter, his master work of destructive power, that he would be using today to crush his Tyler's Pokémon into the ground. Though, he could not underestimate Tyler. If he did, he would be a fool. Still, his body was starting to well with the anticipation of fighting, so much so that he was sure he was going to bust from his own skin at any second.

"Come now, Odin..."

Raising his hand a little, he released Odin from his prison. The beam of light materializing the hulking giant as it stood in front of him. Fenrir danced around Alex in amusement, making sure to take no part of the battle, but enjoying it none the less. Odin stood for a second as it regained his composure from being locked inside its cage, and once it was done roared loudly, stretching its body backwards and flexing its muscles.

It was dangerous looking to say the least, but it was a close range, and physical fighter. It wasn't going to gain any ground simply as it was, and Alex knew this very well. He had to give it a command, lest it be taking damage already and taken out of the fight before it would even start. He pointed to the cement blocks of sidewalk as he began to speak to his killing machine.

"Odin, get something to defend yourself with will you?"

The beast roared again as it dug its hands into the ground at one of the cement sidewalk slabs in front of it. It grunted and snorted as it struggled slightly before pulling out a large piece of cement slab from the sidewalk to use. This would be perfect. This was a common tactic in Alex's fighting style. He was planning on using its strength to gain an upper hand, not just offensively either, but defensively.

"Very good choice Odin. Ah, it seems you will be having to deal with the full force of Odin this time dear Tyler. I can't say I even know how to hold him back. Please, do not attempt to hold back. I don't want to crush you, but if you plan on acting like a fool I may not have a choice. This is the Mafia my friend, not a kids game. You think you are up for it, then prove it to me."

Alex lifted his head as a large smirked crossed his face. His eyes locked onto Tyler right then. This feeling of excitement he got from battle was so amazing. He loved it, he loved everything about it. He wanted to make this more then simply a Pokémon battle. He wanted war.
