North Ione is, predictably, the half of the city on the north side of the waters. The focus on maritime activities has brought the two halves of the town together; in fact, Ione was originally two separate cities. The northern half of the city is heavily industrialized, with pollution spewing from smokestacks everywhere. incidentally, a ferry service is available to take travelers and city dwellers across the water... for a reasonable fee, of course.

The southern half of Ione, this part of the city hosts as many docking facilities and cruise lines as its northern counterpart. The relative proximity to the forest provides a steady stream of campers and hippies, however, as tourists arriving from other regions in search of natural beauty don't have any other spectacular choices for ports.

Shivenia is located halfway up a snowy mountain in the northern most part of Althea. Only those who can stand the cold choose to live there. The only thing that keeps Shivenia on the map is the gym it holds. The towns people are usually nice, but if you do one thing they dislike, they'll give you the cold shoulder. A trail in Shivenia leads to the Cave of Wonders, which can be a very dangerous place.

Although dwarfed by the massive Iselia Forest, Arcairth is fairly large in its own right. Being directly on the path from Shivenia to Ione, Arcairth has become a popular training ground for trainers; most of the more problematic Pokemon have been exterminated, but smaller Pokemon are still common. Due to the popularity of this area, trainer battles are much easier to find than in the depths of Iselia's endless foliage.

The Revetone River is one of the two rivers on Althea. It's the main source of life for Evereste Town, and is sometimes thought of as a magical river. Rumor has it that the spirit of the water mother watches over Revetone, and anyone who does harm to it will pay a terrible price.

Route Seven connects Route Six and Route Eight. It goes over the Revetone River. It is also one of the two smallest Routes on Althea.

Route Eight is one of the bigger routes. After the intersection with Route Seven, it can either go towards Mount Iregna or through the Northern Iselia Forest. After the Northern Iselia Forest it hits North Ione on the Sinep Penninsula.
